As part of the (still relatively) new ME London Hotel on the tip of the Strand, the inviting ambience upon approaching STK didn’t fail to impress as we were welcomed by the impressive decor and sounds of the live DJ.
Book well in advance and beware it is quite costly. Without doubt the food is incredibly tasty, the service is great and the atmosphere is lively: perfect for special occasions. On our visit, we were served brioche buns while we waited for our food, which were served on an STK branded board. The Wagyu sliders to start went down well and could be ordered with truffles. Two of us tried the renowned feather steak which we soon confirmed was the best steak we’ve had in London! The parmesan chips and mac’n’cheese also deserve a mention along with the ‘fun factor’ from the ‘prawns rice crispies’ – pour on the hot sauce and watch them crackle! All tasted fantastic, presented well and cooked to perfection.
Pricey, but well worth it when it tastes that good.
If you can manage to flutter your eyelashes to good effect, or are at least blessed with some luck that evening, try the ever popular Radio bar on the rooftop offering in our opinion the best panoramic views across London… and believe us we have sampled a rooftop bar or two!
